hey there!
I’M SINA SIAR
Pronounced (Sea-NA Sa-Yer)
Sina is a certified Thermalist, Embodiment Coach, and the founder of Contrast—a boutique wellness practice in San Francisco offering guided sauna and cold plunge rituals for modern mental wellness seekers. With over a decade of experience architecting enterprise security systems for Fortune 100 companies, Sina now channels his precision and insight into a different kind of firewall: the one between our overstimulated minds and our neglected bodies.
Raised in Los Angeles and shaped by both Silicon Valley intensity and the intimacy of healing arts, Sina’s work lives at the intersection of resilience and reverence. He holds a degree in Computer Science from UCLA and has held senior roles at companies like Fastly and Cisco. But it was his personal reckoning—diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in 2012 and disillusioned by conventional medicine—that led him to the profound intelligence of breath, heat, cold, and presence.
What began as a self-healing journey became a life mission. Sina has since lost over 100 pounds, quit smoking, released old coping patterns, and opened a new chapter rooted in vitality and stillness. He is trained in Hatha Yoga, Buddhist psychology, somatic attachment work, breathwork, and trauma-informed facilitation. His teachings are integrative, science-backed, and deeply embodied—designed not just to optimize performance, but to awaken awe.
In the bathhouse, Sina weaves together mindfulness, breath, heat, and cold to create immersive journeys that quiet the mind and reawaken the body's knowing. Each session is an invitation to meet yourself at the edge—and soften. His clients range from biohackers to burned-out professionals, festival-goers to first-time seekers—anyone ready to trade numbness for aliveness, and effort for presence.
When he’s not guiding sessions at Contrast, Sina is likely mountain biking through the sculpted landscapes of the Bay Area, refining his running form stride by stride, or braving the Pacific’s open waters to beat his own Escape from Alcatraz swim record. And when the sun goes down, you might find him dancing to deep underground house music—moving not to perform, but to feel. To him, self-care isn’t a spa day—it’s a spiritual discipline. And in a fractured world, gathering in intentional space isn’t a luxury—it’s a lifeline.
